New to smoking meat

    I live about 40 miles outside of Dallas, TX

    I am a 47 year old woman.

    My husband likes to rush his grilling and/or smoking, so I am taking over lol.

    I recently cooked a rack of ribs all day long and they were outstanding, so now I am hooked!!!

    Welcome to the forums, Paula!  Glad you've joined us.  You've found a great place to learn and share ideas on our favorite pastimes...grilling, smoking, and curing great food!  There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Good luck with that build project, and just ask any time you need help and you'll get plenty!
