New to all this

  1. How's it goin everyone.I'm darren from Ireland. Nearly finished makin a bbq/bar in my garden.lookin for tips about cookin on them. Especially the difference between charcoal and gas (have both). Started you're ecourse. Just got the first email

    We're glad to have you. The search bar at the top is your most valuable resource here. This forum has been around for over ten years, so there is a good chance that any questions you may have, have already been answered (they may have 10 different answers, but you'll get an instant response non the less).
    Please be sure to post your smokes along with your process and recipes. We will be glad to help you along the way and we may also learn something new ourselves in the process. Also, don't forget the very important Q view! (We're mad for pics on here 😁)
    Always remember to have fun because it's not fun if you have to work at it.

    Welcome from SC, Darren. I'm sure you will enjoy this site. Don't worry about getting answers to your questions. There are lots of folks here with tons of knowledge who are always ready to share ideas, tips, recipes or whatever you need. All you need to do is ask. Can you send some pics of your garden?   5. still got a few days work in it.
    have a gas and charcoal bbq. Tryin to figure out best way to do the vents on the charcoal one. Tried a lump of beef yesterday with good success. Just a bit of salt, pepper and chile powder with a bit of apple and oak smoke. It was a good lunch in work today

    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
