  1. I am picking up my trailer smoker this weekend but I am not sure if I am going to be able to season it due to weather.   I am planning on wiping the whole thing down with peanut oil (inside and outside).

What is everyone's thoughts about wiping it down with peanut oil but letting it sit a week before actually burning it in?

    Thoughts, suggestions are welcomed.

    Cheers everyone

Their is nothing wrong with rubbing it down days in advance. If you are going to have to

buy the oil I would go with a cheaper oil as it will make no difference in the long run.
    Happy smoken.
  4. Never done that, You may just want to wait till you ready to fire it up
