Welcome to SMF! I don't have a Brinkman, but lots of folks here do. Until someone comes along to help you, you might want to check out the links on the left side of the page.

Welcome to the SMF. You'll have plenty of replies rearding your coice of smoker. Read around, there is a wealth of knowledge here, so enjoy.

Being a Mizzou boy myself, I find it troubling welcoming anyone from yer' kneck of the woods, but I'll take one for the SMF team (all in good fun!)

Seriously, welcome! I don't have a Brinkman, but I'm sure you'll find everything you need here. I'm assuming your new smoker is a horizontal with a side firebox? Common design with my smoker, the Chargriller Pro. If it's the upright however, I can't help you, but all designs have some common points.

Just fire away with any questions you have, and smoke on!

Welcome to SMF Smoker Matt 54!!! Glad to have you aboard. Be sure and sign up for the 5-day eCourse as mentioned above. A wealth of info sent right to your inbox for free. Tough to beat.

Don't worry Matt, you are amongst Jayhawk friends here! And try not to hold the Miss-ew thing against Geek, he is a good guy who is combining technology with big metal smokers to make smoking a little less work.

I have the Brinkmann Gourmet which is the red electric units, but I know that there are lots of modifications that can be made to Brinkmanns to improve their cooking abilities.

Welcome to the SMF Matt.

Pull up a chair and enjoy!!!
