So I am new to this forum and to smoking meat. I have always been a outdoors guy and never gave much thought to smoking meat. We recently purchased land that we use for a vacation area and taking meat to the cabin can be a challenge for the longer stays since we do not have electricity. I am starting to look into preserving meat by smoking and would like to see what books you might recommend to start learning. I have little knowledge of smoke curing and before I make a smoke house I would like to have a better understanding. If you could please post books or website I can look at that contain correct information. The last thing I want to do is make my daughter sick.
