Greetings all. I'm Jeremy, live in eastern KY these days though my job took me out of the midwest years ago and moved me up and down the East Coast for a while.
New to the forums, though I've been lurking for quite some time.
I'm by no means a pro, but I've been tinkering with smoking and grilling for years. Started out with pouches of wood chips on a LPG grill. Moved up to the "Alton Brown" flower pot smoker a few years ago. Built a couple of those, but kept having issues with the wiring deteriorating.
I'm now on a cheapo propane Master Forge 2-door vertical smoker. I just like the control I can get with propane. With a wife and kids, I can't always dedicate the time I would need to tending a hardwood or charcoal fire to maintain temps. This is still a pretty new smoker. In fact, all I've done is a couple Boston butts on it, but they turned out great. Not sure if that's testament to the smoker or the Maverick thermometers I was using to maintain temps, but either way it was a great meal!
That's all for now, I'll catch you all later!
