    Someone (Case maybe?) showed the heat resistant flexible plastic gadgets that allow thermometer probes to be inserted. Weber is now putting in their top of the line units. I have searched the forums without success. I believe the link was to a replacement parts web site but I cannot find it.

    I actually ordered 4 of them within the last 6 wieks and got them in the mail. I've checked my email for the last 6 months and can find no order confirmation. They are packaged in flat plastic bags. I'm reasonably certain that they were thrown away. I'm blaming the war department because she claims she never saw them..

    Anyone got that link?

  3. Do you happen to know what the approximate dimensions are on that grommet?  Been looking for something really similar to this for my propane smoker.

    Requires a 1 1/4" hole to be drilled to fit.

    Be careful they do arrive in a flat envelope that if discovered by the "you have to many smokers department head" you may find yourself needing to order more. Best solution is to bribe the mail man at the box with pulled pork and brisket. That's how you get the hand delivery assistance!

    Same bribe also works on the trash guy when you have a bunch of car parts to get rid of

    @hollowpoint1911

    Sorry to take so long to respond. Here are pics of the grommet showing digital micrometer readings.

    This one shows the outside dimension.

    This one shows the inner dimension or the size hole needed.

    This one shows the thickness of the grommet.

    Hope this helps, and, again, sorry to take so long to respond. I've had a ration of Internet connectivity problems and a very bad Windows 10 upgrade attemp.
