This is my first brisket smoke.  I smoked it on my Brinkmann charcoal grill with hickory and oak.  I was very happy how it turned out.  It was very tender and juicy.  I smoked it for about 6 hours at 225 degrees.  The only thing I would change was that I used a store bought rub and it was very salty.

That looks real good.  I have found most store bought rubs are salty.  I will often mix in some brown sugar to tone it down.

Nice looking smoke!

If you go to the wikis and look at emans pig rub. You can cut the sugar down by 2/3s and it makes a pretty good beef rub. feel free to add or subtract  as you see fit .

Just please let others know how you like it and any changes you make.

It looks awesome nice job
