Hi All, I'm Grant and live in Central Alabama. I'm relatively new to smoking, and have only tried pork ribs and shoulder so far. As a newbie, I use my gas grill as a smoker, going low and slow with indirect heat and smoke boxes with good results. I have an ECB, but haven't developed the confidence to use it regularly. I've always been a fan of Barbecue, as there's a certain sentiment that reminds me of times spent with my father when I was younger. Well, now I'm a father and look forward to developing the tradition of time together with my son. I love good Scotch and quality craft beers, and love to pair with quality barbecue. I look forward to sharing my smoking successes and (hopefully less) failures with the group!
