    Proper Sanitation ..tulsa Jeff I Think This Should Be Added To The List Of Links That You Provide..i Work For Sara Lee Corp..my Job Is Sanitation..we As Home Cooks And Chefs May Know Everything ..but There Is Always Room For Question Here.. Having Worked In Restuerants Myself I Know Alot About Usda Inspections..i Also Know How To Make Sure My Kitchen Is Safe From Food Born Contaminates.. The Things I Have To Go Threw At Sara Lee Confirmes This ... Just So Ya Know ..sara Lee Pies Go Threw An Xray Machine..but If We Find Metal In A Pie..the Tasks We Have To Take Are Very Extreme..i Am Most Concerned With Cross Contamination..and Education With This And Much More..
    I Offer My Experience And Full Knowlage For Anyone With Questions On This Subject..mike

    DO YOU AGREE TO THE FACT THAT SANITATION COULD BE A GOOD THREAD ON THIS SITE....WE DO NOT KNOW HOW EVERYBODY MAKES FOOD HERE ..THEY COULD USE THIS TYPE OF THREAD AS A INFORMATION KIND OF THING ..EITHER PREP OR AFTER FOOD IS DONE.. CLEAN UP..LET ME KNOW..MIKE

    I think what he is trying to say is there is not any information on sanitation or meat safety that he is aware of.

    Just Want To Give Imput To Sanitation..i Have Worked At Servral Resturants..plus I Work For Sara Lee In Sanitation Just Think I May Have A Few Idweas For Anyone Who Doest Know Plus It A Chance For The Folks Who Do Know To Help Out For Thoes Who Are Questioning..mike

    Why don't you post a thread on basic sanitation tips? That would be kewl wouldn't it? I don't think we'd have enough conversation going to support a separate forum though.

    For example:

    I for one am I big One step no rinse sanitizer freak. I got started using it brewing beer and now I use it all the time. Doing alot of chickens and turkeys I always wash the counters and stuff with an antibacterial soap then sanitize with One Step before use. In between using the tongs etc. I wash them and set them in a jar of sanitizer.

    That what you were thinking?

    @ Mavadakin

    Put together a post with whatever tips you have and links that you know of and post in General Disscussion. While it may be lost on some we do for the most part take sanitation and food handling seriously.(SP) We touch on alot of topics and offer saftey tips on topics other than just cooking temps.
