My name is Joe and we live in NW North Carolina. Folks say to get to our house you go all the way out to the boonies and then drive another 45 minutes. But we love it! I'm new to smoking but I already know I love it. We've started with a masterbuilt 40 inch stainless. Mainly because it was on sale for 200 bucks. Only time and cooking will tell how long we will use it or have to upgrade. From what I've read on here so far I can tell I have a lot to learn and a great place to learn from. Thanks in advance for any help and advice anyone can offer.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a nice cloudy and warm day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Welcome to the board, Joe! You're going to enjoy learning the knowledge that people share here.

I would be smoking salmon now, but we're supposed to get clobbered with heavy rain.

Welcome Joe! :welcome:
I'm in the southern Piedmont in a little Podunk hick town just east of Charlotte.
Glad to have you here.

Hey everybody, my name is Sam and am so glad to have found you guys. I am from new Jersey, and my family is originally from Georgia. I grill all the time, but it is now time for me to become a man and do some smoking. I have been looking at electric smokers, and can't decide which is the best one, so I really could use some help in narrowing it down. Thanks, and I can't wait to share my creations!

Hi Sam. Now get your butt off of Joe's thread and start your own in roll call so we can greet you properly. [emoji]128521[/emoji]

We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
