  1. Hello from southwest va. My name is Will and I live in a small coal town in south western Virginia. I am a water treatment plant operator. I am also new to the world of smoking foods. I am alread having a few issues. I have a char broil offset smoker and I'm having trouble getting the temp to even be somewhat even from one side to the other. The side closest to the fire box is showing about 300 and the other side is around 175 to 200. How can possible get the temp a little more even? Thanks

Welcome to the forums, Will! Glad you've joined us. You've found a great place to learn and share ideas on our favorite pastime...grilling and smoking great food! There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable people here who really enjoy helping one another. Just ask when you need help and you'll get plenty!

I'm not too familiar with your smoker, but if you post your questions in the smoker forums, people who know your rig can offer some help.

    Good luck!
