Hi everyone. My name is Jeff, and I currently live in Knoxville, Tennessee. I grew up on the Tennessee / Kentucky state line on the west side of Tennessee and have been all over most of the South as well as a 5 year stretch in Texas. I've always loved BBQ, and getting a chance to try everything from Texas brisket to West KY BBQ mutton has been a great experience. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but while my wife and I shop for a house, we live in a place that I can't have a gas or charcoal grill. I have been debating for about a year about buying an electric smoker, so any feedback on those would be much appreciated.
In the meantime, I spend a lot of time working on my own seasonings and rubs, and Sunday I took my first stab at making my own sausage. I look forward to learning what I can from everyone. It looks like a great forum.
