Heating Element Kit

I have a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker.  Model # 20070106 and my heating unit went out.  Can anyone tell me what model number to use to order a 1200 heating element kit from Masterbuilt.  Because they said I had to have a model number before I could order the kit.  They have several different model numbers and I don;t know which one will work with my own smoker.  My smoker has no window doors or 2 doors.  So this is why I am not sure which model number for the kit so it will fit in my smoker.

Like I told you on your welcome (Rollcall) thread, I'm not a fixer upper, but are you sure the element went bad.

There is a wiring problem with most MES smokers. The wires corrode off of their connectors in the back of the Unit.

I'll see if I can find some info on it for you.

I  am willing to try.  My husband found a post on here about replacing the heating element kit.  It has pictures and instructions for replacing it. 

That's where he got the idea from.

Like Bear said this is a common problem on the older units, and is an easy & inexpensive fix.

Several of the members have done it with success.
