Hello All. My name is Rodger, and I am a Civil Engineer from Santa Maria California. Santa Maria is famous for the open pit red oak BBQ, but I'm looking for a little variety. Me and a buddy are putting together a new pit for my back yard. It will work as a standard SM BBQ for oak wood, but I'm working out a way to cover it an set up a side smoker box. I've never smoked before, so I need all of the help I can get, and reading all that I can so that this thing works.
