Received a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker for Mothers Day - looking forward to trying it out later today. We did the seasoning part already. Any first recipies for chicken, salmon, pork or vegs appreciated.

A great all around rub to start with:

1 C brown sugar

1/4 C paprika

1/4 C granulated garlic

2 Tbsp kosher salt

2 Tbsp fresh ground black pepper

1/2 tsp cayanne powder

Mix all that in a bowl and work out any lumps in the brown sugar. Makes enough rub for 1 whole chicken, or 1 family pack of chicken parts, or 1 slab of ribs, or 1 pork butt.... assuming you are applying fairly liberaly.

That is a good base and you can adjust flavors by adding things like celary salt or onion powder as you desire.

For Salmon I highly suggest a mix of Yoshida's Gourmet Sauce, and sweet chili sauce. Let the Salmon marinade in that for 30-40 min. then smoke with a fruit wood (cherry, peach, ect.). Really tastey!
