My first smoke of 5 lbs of teriyaki beef jerky. Let the fun begin!
Cool, I'll be waiting
3.5 hours in. Keeping steady at 180 degrees. Any recommendations on how long to go for 5lbs?
I probably should have posted in the jerky forum.
Can't go by time, use the bend test. it should be able to bend without breaking, from what I see I would start checking it
Final product! Tastes delicious! Extra smoky. I will stop adding wood earlier next time. It went from 5lbs to 2 lb 9 oz.
Looks great! It will mellow with time if it lasts that long.
