I've got 2 Boston butts in my Masterbuilt dual fuel smoker. I have smoked millions (more or less) of butts but always used the Texas crutch. I know every shoulder is different and I'll have to watch the temp on each one. One isis about 10 lbs and the other about 8.5. Any success or nightmare stories without using the Texas crutch? Am I forgetting any tips or tricks?

Just took them off the smoker. Took them to 195 and 199. They're resting peacefully in the cooler for a while before I pull it. But I snuck a sample and some pics before I hid it... It's perfect!!! By far the best butt I've ever smoked.
