Cooking time for boneless rib-eye roast?

  1. Smokers --

    I picked up a beautiful 9 lb boneless rib-eye roast at Costco today. It's on the menu for dinner Sunday night. I'm planning on doing it low-and-slow with just an olive oil and SPOG rub.

    At +/- 225*, how long should I figure it will take to cook this slab o' beef? (Brisket takes about 1-1.5 hours per pound. Is this similar?)

    Take it to 135 for rare/med rare...

    4-5 hours should do it...

  4. I like my roast more towards medium-well (just slightly pink in the center). Any thought on how long to get it up to 150-160?
