So the idea is to build a cold smoker on a incline (hill) with a separate fire box. I have a old wood burning furnace that handles 24" logs. I will build a wooden smoke house 4x4x6. The smoke will come in from underneath the house. My question is how long should the run be and how much lower should the fire box be below the smoker house? Thanks for the advice.
