Crafted this bad boy yesterday thought I'd share it!!

(probably could have cut a bigger hole but hey; it works) Wasn't a whole lot of information out here on building these for the kamado Kooker so I basically shot from the hip and it turned out very well.

Did you burn the wood or is it just the picture?

Looks great. I've been wanting to do something similar with my Weber, but like you said, not a whole lot out there that I really liked. Want mine to be portable, so like that you have the casters on yours.

I love the cooking space I have now! It may just be the picture or the stain I used but I didn't burn it

Ok must just be the stain & the lighting - I burn some picture frames & other odds & ends with a torch if requested & they end up looking very similar so I figured I'd ask... Looks good man & you have a nice work surface now. Congrats

If you've never done it I highly recommend practicing on some scrap. The key is to keep everything the same so you get an even job  - your speed, distance from the wood & angle of your torch. If not it will really show up once you apply your finish.
