Hey all, here ia my 1941 Westinghouse fridge. Was non-functional when I bought it for $50 from a local used appliance shop. It's going to be charcoal fired with firebox in the bottom. I want multiple rack options for ribs, butts, turkey etc. I dont do sausage or game, but, cold smkoking cheese with just a smoke generator is an option too.

Stripped out inside, also lined with Roxul. That enameled steel is TOUGH! Drilling holes for shelves and cutting opening for the firebox ate up the bits and blades. Finally resorted to carbide tipped drill bit and the cut off wheel

In that pic, you can see the inlet from the firebox and the deflector /grease catch, as well as the rebar and expanded steel shelves.

Hey
Nice Job.I like the firebox you put in the bottom.I have the same fridge and installed my turkey fryer burner in the bottom compartment.Converted it to burn natural gas and just plug into the outlet on my patio.
