Thought I'd post my weekend meal. Had some family in town, so I thought I'd use my new char-grill offset smoker finally. Woke up about 5am Saturday and finished putting in the baffle/tuning plate and started smoking 10 pounds of ribs around 6am.

Everything was going great, I was suprised how easily the smoker stayed right about 230F. Only had to refill charcoal once. I used apple chunks for smoke. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures except right before I put the sauce on.

Here's my son sucking the last bit of flavor off the ribs:

Now the really bad part... About 2 hours after we ate, I came down with the stomach flu. Ended up throwing up later that night, and being downright miserable. I told my wife, I think I'm not cooking ribs for a long time now! (Not that it was the ribs fault, its just that was the last thing I ate.)

Good lookings ribs there!

Ribs look good...

Man that happend to me once with sausage... UGH!!! i didnt eat sausage of any kind for about 3 years.... years later i'm finally back to enjoying it fully!

Happend to me with Yeager & SoCo to LOL... only took about 1yr and a half to get over that...

I tell you what I would make some more ribs asap and if I got sick again. I think I would just go ahead and shoot myself now and save me all the heart ache of not being able to eat any Ribs.
