My wife, while not unable to eat cheese, really doesn't care for it. It's my understanding that the cheese helps keep the fatty moisture level up. Am I way over thinking it and a basic fatty without cheese won't be dry?
Ok, so why do the drumsticks in a lollipop? Is it just for presentation or does it affect the moisture content by having the meat bunched up a bit more? I would guess size of the drumsticks would make a difference how long to cook as we should be cooking based on the temp and not time.
No, I totally follow what you said, but when looking at the Vacuum Sealer Unlimited brand bags, the 11"x50' rolls were 2 for $38.09, which is $19.04 per roll, not the $9.80 per roll you mentioned.
As a matter of fact, I can only see 4 different Vacuum Sealers Unlimited products on Amazon. 2 - 8" rolls, 2 - 11" rolls, an 8 and an 11 roll combo, and quart bags
Not sure where you found that on Amazon. I only found 2 Pack of Vacuum Sealers Unlimited - 11" x 50' Rolls For FoodSaver, etc. - Thicker, Heavy-Duty Commercial Quality Textured Vacuum Sealer Bags - BPA Free & FDA Approved $38.09 & Free Shipping. I don't see 4 rolls unless you order two 2-packs.
So I decided that even though I can't see me needing more than 1 meat probe at the present time, I'll keep both Smoke units. When we move back to Texas and do more outdoor cooking, I may see the need for multiple probes.
I bought one. Wife bought me one as well. Not sure what I'm going to do with 2 of them though. I never cook that much meat where I need to monitor with more than 1 probe. And I have another monitor that just uses one probe.
