Adam, get that pot cleaned up, give it a run in the oven on self clean, or burn it out with a weed burner. Then give it a scrub and dry. Get yourself some Flax seed oil. Apply a thin coat then into a 425 oven and bake it for a few hours. Let it cool. Repeat two more coats of oil and bake. You will have a bomb proof piece of cast iron. So slick eggs will slide right out. It's the only way to season cast iron.
