A few years ago I started building an outdoor kitchen - got as far as framing and putting up some cement board and then had a water pipe burst in the house - over 3000 gallons while we slept (bedrooms upstairs.....pipe was downstairs). We took the opportunity to do quite a few upgrades and I did all the work myself, so it's been a long and expensive process.
I'm ready to jump back to the outdoor kitchen though. Originally the plan was an L shape - coming off the house ~4' (inside measurement), then parallel to the house about 8-9'. The 4' section would have a Blackstone, my BGE at the corner, and the long side would just be counter space for seating with mini fridge & drawers / storage.
I sold my small offset a few years ago (old trusty Brinkmann Cimarron) and rely solely on my BGE now, but now want something more. My n'bor bought the Cimarron and never uses it, so I can likely pick it back up cheap or may go with something vertical as it may just "fit" better. I'm struggling to envision a way to "build in" an offset in any way that will look cohesive.
So show me your outdoor setups and share any "wish I had done this or skipped that bc it's not worth it" tips. Thanks!!
