MULE'S BEEF SNACK STICKS WITH QVIEW USING THE MES 40 AND AMNPS

  1. I use a lot of hickory chunks. Just pick the limbs up in the yard. Then turn them to splits.

  2. DAY 3

    It's time to smoke. Pitmasters blend pellets has been chosen. I put them in the MES40 at With AMNPS

    9:00 am mes was set to 100°

    10:20 put AMNPS in 2 rows lit. Kicked the temp up to 110°

    More to come later.

  3. 11:30 kicked temp up to 120°

    12:30 kicked temp up to 130°

     1:30 kicked temp up to 140°

     2:30 kicked temp up to 150°

     3:30 kicked heat up to 170°

    AMNPS is still smoking good. It won't be long now.

    Awesome looking sticks David.  I'm in Johns camp on the Hickory  pellet choice.

  7. 4:30 kicked temp up to 190°

    5:25 IT is only 134° These may be as stubbern as my last BUTT! Amnps Is just burning out. Side 1 of AMNPS went out at the turn.Probably got dripped on. I need to build a good tent for it. This is the first time I have ever had it go out. I just let it go burning on 1 side. Still had lots of smoke.

  8. 6:30 IT hit 167° average. I cold piece was 165°. Hot piece was 173°

    It is in a cold water bath now. Has nice color. Smells great.

    Looking Really Good David!!

    Those ugly skinless are gonna be over the top in smoky flavor!!

    My "Bear Loaf" mix would probably be better for most guys on the forum----It's hotter.
