Got my UDS started this weekend!!

You'll love cookin on it, just don't tell everyone how easy it is!!

How much space you got under your charcoal ring, need at least 3" for ashes.

I'm pretty close to that....prob... 2.5 in. the paint is all high temp engine paint... i'm hoping it doesnt get killed by the heat!! i didnt strip the green drum paint off first... prob. should have.... burned some off... but we'll see

gonna wire wheel the inside and heat her up again....

her name is Ole Glory!!

Cant wait to smoke some stuff up in her!!

Yea.... been seein yours on here and Gramasons at his place.... seeing his and hearing about everyones- how little fuel they use for the long smokes ... had to build one!!

Didnt weld any....

gonna weld feet on charcoal basket tho...

can make feet without welding ....

i used 1/4" x 6" eye bolts to hold up the basket
