We went over to Lido key to see Judy's brother & SIL for a couple of days.
They have 4 cottages at the beach and we get to stay in one of them for free.
So when we go I always bring some goodies for them.
This time I brought, smoked muenster, jalapeno cheddar snack sticks, bacon, a couple of jars of dill pickles, and 4 dry aged ribeye steaks.
The first night we had 2 of the steaks on the kettle, with some potato's onions, peppers, & mushrooms cooked on the stove.
Next morning it was bacon with eggs fried in the bacon grease & left over potato's.
That evening we didn't have any more charcoal, so I said how about searing the steaks in the bacon grease from this morning.
Why not, right!
Everything is better with bacon.
So into a hot pan with the bacon grease went the steaks.
Then into another hot pan with some more bacon grease went the rest of the potato's.
Probably not the healthiest meal I ever cooked, but it was mighty tasty!
Here's the steaks hitting the pan.
And the other pan with the potato's.
Flipped them in about 1 1/2 minutes.
They were done in 3 minutes.
Ready to eat with the potato's.
They all liked the meal & I have an invitation to return anytime for as long as we want to stay.
Thanks for looking,
Al
