    Pros - Good idea
Cons - Real-world use is limited, unit crashes and requires battery pull, frequent disconnects
I received a black iGrill from my wife for Christmas after some not-so-subtle hinting that I'd like to have one. I immediately downloaded the iGrill app from Google Play, and paired the iGrill to my Samsung Galaxy S3 with no problems.

A few days after Christmas, I bought a couple pork butts to throw in the MES for a 12+ hour smoke. I was very excited to try the iGrill, so I placed a probe in each of the butts and opened the app. So far so good. I could see the current temp of each butt on my phone. Wow! Cool! Unfortunately, my enthusiasm died shortly after that. The range on the Bluetooth connection is advertised to be 150', but this is probably a best case scenario with no walls or obstructions. Mine disconnected unless I was less than about 30' away with one exterior wall between my phone and the device. Another issue that arose was the fact that about three times, the device locked up and became unresponsive, with even the controls on the unit itself, including the on/off button, ceasing to function. The only fix for this was to pull out the batteries and put them back in.

After getting frustrated with the iGrill, I gave up on it in the middle of my smoke and reverted back to a $19.99 regular digital kitchen thermometer. I have since returned the iGrill, and am looking for a thermometer that will use wifi rather than Bluetooth.

Pros - LOTS OF SETTINGS FOR HIGH TEMP, LOW TEMP, ALARMS, TIME.
Cons - Sometimes you have to reload the app on your "i" device. Syncing to you "i" device.
Seems to keep accurate temp readings. It uses bluetooth.
