    "I vacuum seal everything now!"

The model I have looks just like this one, but it came with an air-canning attachment.

We bought it to freeze wild game meat. The instructions that came with it suggested partially freezing raw slabs of meat before sealing because all the liquids will cause the suction and sealing to fail (which we experienced first hand). So we placed the meat in the bag and left it in the freezer for about 30 mins to an hour, then vacuum sealed it, it worked fine.

I've been using the bags to preserve meats, vegetables, fruits, cheese. Works great, my apple slices didn't brown as much as leaving them in a tupperware container. I also use it to reseal chip bags, cereal bags, and other various foods in their manufacturer's bag. When opening a resealed manufacturer's bag i suggest using scissors, because the seal from the foodsaver doesn't peel apart as nicely as the original manufacturer's crimp.

I use the air-canning attachment to preserve dry herbs and spices, pasta, flour. Works great.

Everyone should have one of these in their kitchen. I vacuum seat everything!
