I need an inexpensive probe that can get into the 200* range. This one has presets but can be reprogrammed. I don't know if that means it can go higher. Anyone have experience with this probe?
I too am looking at the thermopro. It says the presets can be reprogrammed to your tastes. My current probe will not go above the presets of 170* max. I need something to go into the 200's. Welcome BTW.
I must say I love how evenly the T cooks. These turned out way better than on my stick burner.

Thanks XenaTuba. The tailgater actually has the digital controller. The main thing I'm noticing right off is the small hopper. Did some steaks and burgers. So far so good. Doing a 6.5 lb butt on sunday morning. I'll have q-view of that.
