    Water or no water for boston butt?

    So i am smoking my second butt this weekend. I have only 3 smoke under my belt, so a big time newbie. I have an MES 30. I am debating whether to put water in my water pan. We are going to have pulled pork. Then the leftovers are going into chili. I woul appreciate any advice! Cheers Brian

    Hello from Northeast Ohio

    Hi Everyone, My wife got me an MES 30 for Christmas.  I've smoked a pork butt, baby back ribs, and some chicken quarters so far.  Doing another pork butt this weekend.  I'll be brewing a belgin wit while the butt msokes. Anyways, hello, and great forum! Brian
