Anyone got a good site to order good sealer bags or rolls for cheap? I checked out the older post, but was just wondering if anyone has found anything better. Always looking for a bargain, and I'm really suspicious of what I might end up with from ebay. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I really like grilling salmon on cedar planks, but those things are expensive. Anyone got a cheap solution? I was just checking out ebay for a good buy and there really isn't one.
Anyone ever try smoking brussel sprouts? I think I'm going to try to smoke some the way I oven bake them: Extra virgin olive oil, honey, siracha sauce, salt and pepper. They're good out of the oven so I figure smokin them will add a new dimension of flavor.
Anyone ever do any cooking with a Himalayan Salt Block? If so, is it all that, or just a gimic? I've read that they can be used for cooking and serving hot meals or chilled for serving sushi or cheese. Thinking about investing in a small block but would like some input as to if they are worth...
Anybody else ever notice that you can't go to a thread that Gary hasn't already commented on? Does this guy ever sleep? He'll probably be the first and last person to add to this thread and ya just gotta love him for his effort. You go Gary, but dude.............get some sleep sometime, lol.
Does anyone have any tips / suggestions on cleaning smoker grates? I love to smoke, but hate the clean-up afterwards. I spray the grates with cooking spray before the smoke but they can still be a pain to clean. Just wondering if anyone has any magic.
How many Lady Smokers out there and how did you get started? My wife is a great cook, but takes no interest in grilling or smoking. I enjoy doing the outdoor cooking but it occurs to me that this may be her way of getting out of cooking. LOL. But seriously, I've seen post from a few females...
I was just wondering and hoping for new ideas, but what are your favorite steak marinades? I really like Allegro marinated strip steaks. Marinate over night and bring to room temp. prior to grilling.
I've noticed that I have the "moniker" of "fire starter" by my name on anything I post. What does it mean, who gave it to me, will it change..................????? Not a complaint, just a question. I was wondering if it was like a badge for time on the forum or number of post or something...
First let me say "I hate winter". It's been in single digits here for the last 3 days and I can't stand it. Wind chill brought it below zero and once again I can't stand it. I need warm weather to get out and smoke........................ For a thin skinned old man this is insane, but at...
Hey guys and gals, my wife claims she doesn't care for smoked foods with the exception of the occasional pulled pork sandwich. And it's not just the stuff I smoke because she doesn't like it done by proffesionals either. So my question is: What would be the perfect food to change her...
I just ordered the AMNPS. Is it limited to pellets or can you use chips or a combination of chips & pellets in it as well? And what brand of pellets would you recommend using for a MES?
