    Got two chickens smoking over apple (split them as I saw recommended on this forum, really does help!) and some sausage that I just added. Didn't get to make the Wicked Beans I've read so much about but planning to do that later this week. They do sound good.

    I do have a good dry rub but I bought these pre-seasoned. I was planning to come home and throw them on the smoker so I didn't have time to let the rub sit. Meat was falling off the bone.

    Just gave my new MES30 a workout with pork ribs and sausage. Gotta admit, I'm very pleased with myself right now. BTW, if you live near a Costco, they have very good quality meat. Always bought there to grill, not I'm smoking it. Any thoughts on how it came out? Feedback and constructive...

    I just bought myself an electric Masterbuilt 30" and gave it a first run tonight on some beef ribs and brisket. The brisket's taking a while longer than I thought, but the ribs were great! At this rate, the brisket won't be ready til about 9 or 10 p.m., but that's OK, we'll have that for dinner...
