Does anyone know if the top grill grate is reading 230 degrees F. Measured by a Maverick 733, will the lower grate be hotter or cooler than the upper grate?

I have a 22.5" Weber Grill. I've used it as a charcoal griller. I've also used it to smoke ribs and briskets by offsetting the heat. I love my Weber.
