    The master built cold smoker attachment would work great for you as the dize you indic as ted would burn good in the cold smoker, i have one and love it.

    Had that happen to mine also,was the heater element had a short to ground,didnt trip the gfi circuit it was on though,replaced element and all is good again

    If your going to smoke a turkey I would suggest a turkey breast, done many and I would only use some light wood like pecan or apple chips.     Same way I used to check thermocouples in the lab, one quart insulated container( bubba jug ) fill with boiling water let stand until water stabilizes then insert both probes tied together with a zip tie, then take readings as your stirring the water. With the probes.[/B]
