    First Time Pork Shoulder

    Ok I am gonna try my first Pork Shoulder this weekend.  It weighs in at 16.23lbs about how long should I let this smoke?  From the past of me doing ribbs and wings I am finding out around 200-215*.   Now what is a good rubb to put on a shoulder?   Last pic is of my camera Hogg  lol

    My smoker

    This is my homemade smoker that I made from a lot of scrap metal from work. All I paid for was the expansion metal and angle Iron.  for a grand total of $52.  Not bad at all if you ask me.  Its made from 3/16 steel and 2x2 1/8 angle iron .  Gotta finish up the dampener and basket so I can fire...

    Hi I Am Mike and from WV.  I Just built me a smoker from scrap metal from my local fab shop and just fired it up tonight.   Can I say with a few tweeks it should be awesome.  Only problem I am having is getting up to cooking temps.   I thing I need to make my dampener bigger.  But I will find...
