My first try at Beer Can Chicken. Pretty happy with how it turned out and the family thought it was delicious.
And some buffalo chicken on the grill
And of course some ABT's to tide me over while the chicken cooked
Thanks again, I will give this a go next time.
Thanks to you as well Chef Jimmy. As others have mentioned, using your foiling juice made for the best ribs I've ever tasted. Can't wait to get the tenderness right next time. I'll give it a try meat down and an extra 30 min. That sounds like it...
Thanks, I'll give the bend test a go next time. When bending like that, should the be splitting at the bend as well - almost like it wants to break off?
Yeah, sorry, I realized I left out the temp but have edited it now. I kept the smoker between 220 and 240. Used a Maverick so I think the temp was good.
Thanks!
Thank you for the additional information. I tried this recently and it was outstanding. I had some problems with the tenderness of my ribs (although the rack with this juice was by far the best), so once I get that sorted out I can't wait to try this again. Some pics are in this post...

This looks great and I'm going to give it a try soon. I'm assuming you still put your rub on for the initial smoke? Sorry for the noob question, still have a ton to learn and just want to make sure I do this correctly.
Thanks.
Rick
New smoker here. After two failed attempts smoking a butt on an ECB (I couldn't get the temp hot enough and had to resort to finishing in the oven), I decided to get a WSM 22". It arrived the other day and I only had a couple hours this morning so I decided to try some Bacon Wrapped Fatty's...
Hi All,
I'm a novice smoker and have been reading the forum and Jeff's site for a few weeks now. I started with an ECB, but had a hard time getting the temp up over 200. I successfully smoked a butt, with the help of my oven, and it turned out pretty good but not quite the experience I was...
