Just put on some chicken halves seasoned with a sweet and smoky rub. My Cajun Injector electric smoker only goes to 275, so I'm gonna have to crisp the skin under the broiler. I think they're gonna turn out nicely. Pics to follow.

Bought a 10 lb bag of quarters and brined them in saltwater, some garlic, 3 bay leaves, and some lemon juice. Seasoned with SPOG, paprika, and a little sugar. Gonna smoke around 290-300 and see what happens.
I'm looking to buy my first charcoal smoker and I'm stuck between the Weber Smokey Mountain and Char Griller Akorn. I know the WSM has a huge following, but the Akorn appeals to me more because of high heats for grilling. Need some opinions based on experiences.
