    What would be a normal smoke time for these at roughly 160-170 degrees?  I have roughly 1 hour remaining on a 5 hour timer and im only reaching IT of 126 degree.  It went up from 122 to 126 when i put the smoker to 165.  It seems to have "stalled" at this temp.  I know patience is a big key to...

    I am using an MES 30.  I have used my Maverick in it one other time, but just used the BBQ temp probe and it seemed pretty accurate.  Im using 21mm collagen casings.  I was planning on smoking 4-5 hours, based on other times/temps i have read in the forums.

    Well i just ordered my AMNPS!!

    I indeed did get my AMNPS only 2 days after ordered.  Im going to try some jerky here in the next couple days, as its first trial run.  Looks great and i am happy with the service i got!!

    Well i just ordered my AMNPS!!

    Got the credit card out today and made my order.  Went with the AMNPS Package, the Maverick ET-732 thermometer (i hope its worth it!) and a couple extra 5lb bags of pellets.   Cant wait until it all gets here....the smoker will be rolling as soon as it arrives.

    I have an MES 30, and although i really like it, when the temperature outside is warmer i cant get the smoke generated due to the digital temperature gauge.  When the temp reaches the set point and my burner shuts off, no more smoke.  I think the AMNS is the way to go.  I see the "New" Pellet...

    Ok, but please inform me on the AMNPS.  I have looked at them, but i guess i am blind to the reason everyone uses them?  Is there a reason to use them rather than regular wood chips in the tray in the smoker???  Also, where would you place the device inside the smoker??

    I have never used pellets in my masterbuilt.  Do you find those work better in there?  I have just been using sawdust or wood chips.

    Excited to be here!!  Looking to expand my knowledge of smoking, try new recipes, and continue this great hobby!!  Here is what i have smoked already:  Garlic Summer Sausage (from a premix seasoning), Snack Sticks, and Jalepeno Cheddar Summer Sausage.  Hoping to try more in the future!
