sorry to resurrect an old thread, but did you guys ever get an arduino powered smoker going? i've been talking with a coworker who's done quite a lot with arduinos and says it should be pretty easy to do.

Just a follow up in case anyone else is in the Madison, Wisconsin area. I have found a pretty good source for 55 gallon drums and a source to have them sand blasted (the guy has a diesel industrial blaster).
I don't make any $ off it, just wanted to help out others.
