    Fast Smoked Brisket ????

    I have done 5 or so briskets (packers), did a 14lb one (16.5lbs before trimming) in 12 hours @ 225. That was the quickest one i have done.

    If you want a smoke ring with your MES, try this.

    I just add (2) charcoal briquets in the smoke tray when I'm bringing my MES upto temp. It gets hot enough in there to get the briquets glowing orange. To also aid in the process I'll leave the wood hooper in and turned upside down so the incoming air gets drawn right over the briquets.

    AMNPS won't stay stay "lit"

    I get mine to light but it's hit or miss if it will stay smoking. Fusteratung. I live at 5300'. Never knew there was altitude concerns.

    It's a great starter unit. There are a lot of things it could do a little better but it does everything well and for the price you can't ask for more.
