    Rumaki

i guess i won't really be able to call mine rumaki ... just chicken livers wrapped in bacon.  i love bacon and liver so the water chestnuts will be one less step for me to deal with.  i also thought of loading the chicken livers into portobello mushrooms and laying the bacon on top and then...

REALLY NICE, NO BENDING, GARDEN BOXES

the problem i had with the cinder blocks were fire ants undermining them.  i even bought caps, but didn't mortar them in ... it looked great for a while, but then it all got wonky ... but i only did one course.  i used to go out each day with boiling water to pour on the ants because i was...

Re-season my MES when i put in the new Wood Chip Retro Kit?

super easy!  three screws and a phillips screwdriver ... well six screws if you count the ones you have to take out.  the edges are really sharp on both the old and new one ... even with being extra careful in only took a couple of minutes.

Re-season my MES when i put in the new Wood Chip Retro Kit?

well i went ahead and re-seasoned it.  i turned it on for half an hour to see if it smelled funny once it heated up and it did so i re-seasoned it just in case.  i'm smoking a turkey friday and don't want any funky odor to it.

Hi from Sharon in Brooksville, Florida!

ronrude - thanks for that info on the traeger pellets ... i really appreciate it.  i actually do like the intense smoke flavor it gave my chicken ... but i like intense flavors ... many don't.  i started to do that ... with big foil pan ... but then i thought it might interfere with smoke flow...

Re-season my MES when i put in the new Wood Chip Retro Kit?

hello everybody. i've only used my masterbuilt 40 twice ... seasoned it once before i used it.  i just washed the new wood chip parts in the sink, but they still have a little oil on them.  I'm getting ready to switch the parts out ... my question is.  Should i season the smoker again before i...

Hi from Sharon in Brooksville, Florida!

jckdanls07 - it doesn't really disclose the ingredients on the bag.  i just went and read all the fine print and it says '100% virgin hardwood' ... so they make you think if it says mesquite then it's 100% mesquite.  i will make sure to read the fine print in the future .. and research more...

REALLY NICE, NO BENDING, GARDEN BOXES

last year i had couple of raised beds ... about three feet high ... no bending and i loved them until the surrounding tree roots and torpedo grass took over ... and the wood started to rot.  this year i wracked my brain for something that wouldn't rot to make a bed out of and found and old...
