    First try at Brisket

This was exactly my mistake. I did probe it, but what I thought was soft wasn't actually soft. I guess that comes from experience.

    "Time Delay" Brisket

I'm seriously considering buying this roaster for the holding brisket at 160 degrees. My oven doesn't have a setting this low. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0GN7N4/?coliid=I38747119NXNKL&colid=1E43D9RSVHUCK&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

    First try at Brisket

Yes. But I should have waited until 190. The point was getting overcooked, but the flat was still too tough.

Dealing with a rack of ribs that is longer on one side and shorter on the other....

Thanks all! I use a vertical Masterbuilt MB20051316 Propane Smoker, so I can't control heat hitting the meat horizontally from one end or the other. I guess, unless I hung them from hooks with the short side up. I appreciate all the comments about Grenada! It's a beautiful island. I've...

Dealing with a rack of ribs that is longer on one side and shorter on the other....

Hi All, What's the best way to deal with a rack of pork ribs that are 7" on one side and about 4 inch on the other? When I smoked them, the short side was overcooked and the long side undercooked. Is it best to cut the rack of ribs so that the small ribs are smoked separately? I'm new to...

Hello from the Island of Grenada...

Hello Fellow Smokers, My name is John and I'm living on the tropical island of Grenada in the Caribbean. I just purchased an entry level Masterbuilt propane smoker on a black friday sale last year. (About 300 USD, probably cost about the same amount to ship it and pay duties on it) So far...
