First smoke-legs, Mac and cheese, and asparagus

Hello and welcome! I am very new to the smoke as well and I made some macaroni and cheese with my ribs last weekend. It didn’t turn out dry but the smoke flavor was a bit heavy. I used a 70/30 mix of hickory and mesquite chips in my charbroil electric smoker and I think that’s why the flavor...

    New guy pork shoulder questions

Wow, thank you all for the input! I think my wife will have the oven tied up so I will have to finish them out in the smoker. Maybe I’ll pull one at 190 and the other around 200. It would be a good opportunity to see the difference side by side. Again thank you for the awesome feedback. I...

    New guy from the mitten

I have never visited sleeping bear but leelanau and the surrounding areas are beautiful. I am about an hour and a half to two hours south. We have rented cabins up that way in the past and loved it. And being wine country up there is definitely a hit with the wife.

    New guy from the mitten

Hello from Michigan! New to the site and new to smoking so please excuse my rookie questions. I just bought a small electric smoker so I am more of a weekend warrior trying to out do his buddies at the picnic table. I look forward to learning all I can from you all and appreciate all your...
