Well did two racks of ribs and a small pork butt went off without a hitch didn't have to add any charcoal after filling the box once did the minion method with the baffles ran for 6hrs at 220-240 with charcoal left I have to send a big thanks out to all the people that posted the mods
I never ran mine without mods but with them this is the easiest pit I have run into leave the stack wide open I had the vent on the burn box wide open till it got to 240 then went to 1/2 I use charcoal and haven't added any since the start up and it's been 6hrs or so I think the ash box I built...
Did a second dry run got it to 240 in 45 min I have a 10 degree split from left to right and it has been going for 4 hrs and is holding steady at 240 I am very happy with the results I only paid $100 for it at Walmart on clearance and put another $120 in it for mods if anybody has any other...
Seasoned the smoker today it ran great at 250 for about 5 hrs but it took 1.5 hrs to get to 200 i was using cowboy briquettes does anybody have a better idea i tried to get lump but nobody has any thanks
