I have family coming over this afternoon for late Thanksgiving. I fired up the Blaz n and when I went out to put turkeys on, it was dead. Found the fuse was blown. Replaced fuse and it started back up but never heated. Got down to the ignitor and it was not lighting pellets. I got them burning...
How does the accessory hose work? Meaning is it retractable and always attached to the unit or do you have to get it out and attach it every time you want to use it?
Currently we own a foodsaver and the hose is retractable, making it easy and convenient to use for all the containers we use for...
I have 2 of these for my Broil king gasser (one for round grates and one for the V shaped grates) and I love them. They end up getting to the point that they will be in contact with both the sides and the top, once they get worn in a little. The key to forming the grooves is the hotter , the...
I am a little late to the party, but I have found the Pampered Chef tongs to be the strongest so far. The way they are formed, you can get a good grip on things and when you squeeze them on something they do not flex, like all other brands I have tried. Their spatula is pretty bada** also. I...
I am smoking a 10 lb butt on thursday and would like to give this sauce a try. I figure with all the positive reviews I can't go wrong.
Only question is, how much to use?
With a 10 pounder, and lets say one normal size ketchup style bottle, how much sauce out of that bottle would be a safe start?
No offense TW, but what fun would it be in the oven. That only gives 1 hour for your favorite beverage.
I will have to give the creamettes a try.
Another note worth mentioning, we use fat free shredded cheese, I know this is not the best (tasting) way to do things, but the original one we...
I made this a second time. This time I tried the whole grain elbow macaroni. Will not use the whole grain again. They seemed to be a little chewy and did not really expand and get soft like the regular macaroni. Did add a little velveeta and seemed to be a little creamier. I don't think i will...
I went with the 14". It appears to be awesome in looks, feel and sharpness. I have not had a chance to use it yet. I will report once I get a chance to put it to a test.
I went with this guard also,
I noticed that if you look on Amazon, at the knife you bought, in the frequently bought...
Hello All,
I am pretty new to smoking and am going to smoke 2, 11 lb birds tomorrow. I am a little nervous when it comes to the time they are done. So far it seems everything I have smoked took longer than what I was anticipating. I would rather be done a little early with the birds than be...
I am going to go ahead and spend a little more and go with the granton. I hate buying things twice.
Just did not know enough and that is why I asked if it was really worth it.
Now the question is, 10", 12" or 14"? kind of thinking, just go with the 14", it is only a couple dollars more and...
Have you ever tried the same knife without the granton to see if it really makes a difference having the granton?
I don't mind spending the extra money if it is worth it, but it is twice as much to get the granton style.
I tried searching this, but maybe I was not using the right wording. My question is, get the granton or smooth?
Looking at the fibrox 12". The non-granton is about half the price of the granton. Anyone tried both? is it really worth the extra money for the granton? Looking to slice bacon...
Thanks for the responses.
Took mine about 3.5 hours. I think it was because I had so much going on in there (butt, fatty, beans, mac) and it was my first time with the new gridiron.
Everyone really like them and I really liked how simple they were to get ready. Only stirred once about 2 hours...
Getting ready to put this on the smoker, does anyone know about how long it will take at 250?
Also, should it be stirred at any point or just let it be?
Hello all,
My name is Troy. I am new to this site and new to the whole smoking scene. I have used this site for some time to research both smokers and how to's. I live in southwest Michigan. I work for Sheet Metal Workers Local 7. I do not own a smoker yet, but am getting ready to pull the...
