    Im making jerky using a marinade.  Its my second time trying to make jerky.  Anyway it did not call for cure.  Do I need to cure before I place in my dehydrator?  Im just about to put it in and thought wait a minute...lol

    I got my first dehydrator. My family is gluten free and needed to make our own jerky. We missed not having it. Anyway my first try the jerky snapped in half and is sort of crumbly. Can anyone point me in the right direction for cause and helpful tips? TIA
