Looks good PadronMan! I've been smoking all weekend every weekend since I got it. Bear is right I can feel the effects already but it's worth it. Happy smoking brothers
Lisa I don't believe they sell them in stores but if you go to their website and email them the owner Steve will get back to you quickly and answer any questions you have.
Lisa I was in the same boat a few weeks ago. Like yourself, I was looking for an American made product that wouldn't break the bank. I researched all of them and as sarge said, Cookshack is pretty much it and they're pricey. So I had to punt and just received my Smokin' It #2 model this week...

I'm new to this site but been smoking for about 5 years. My wife bought me a MES on a whim for Christmas a few years ago. It's probably the most basic model they make: analog thermometer and doesn't even have the wood chip loader...but it works great and I've gotten decent at it for the most...
Interesting. Why did you recommend getting rid of the slanted drip tray? I've been thinking about getting a new MES and thought that was actually a nice feature, but now you've got me thinking.. Does it fill the water pan up too fast or cause some other kind of problem?
